The song "Dragostea din tei" was also at the top of the charts in Canada, Japan, New Zealand, USA, England, France, Sweden and even in South Korea the song ran....usw.
Also, the successful Austrian pop & party hit singer "Antonia aus Tirol" released in 2004 a German-language cover version entitled "Wenn der Hafer sticht, Maija hi, maija hu" which sold very successfully under the label Bluestyle Records, was in the top 10 and reached a chart peak of number 7. Antonia was with this song within a year in record broadcast of 25 TV programs.
Haiducii (born Paula Monica Mitrache on June 14, 1977 in Bucharest) is a Romanian singer. Her stage name is derived from the Heiducii.
After being elected Miss Bucharest, Mitrache started a career in Romania as a singer, actress and television presenter. In 2003, she moved to Rome.
In Italy she released her first single Dragostea din tei, a cover version of a song by the Moldavian band O-Zone; just one week after its release, the single reached #1 on the Italian sales charts.
A significant contribution to their success was also made by Gabry Ponte, a well-known Italian DJ and music producer, who co-produced their songs and contributed appropriate remixes.
In 2008, Rihanna and T.I. released a cover version of "Dragostea din tei" under the name "Live Your Life".
